Thank you for choosing Camp Volcano! We aim to provide your child with a fun-filled environment that encourages learning and social development. We invite you to read the content on this page to learn about our policies. These policies are created to insure that your children are safe and happy during their camp experience. Feel free to sync our calendar to keep you informed about new themed camps and activities.
Parents and guardians of children are permitted into the camp venue for drop off and pick up. Only those authorized to take/remove your child from our camp may do so. Counselors will match ID photos as wall as the secure code word to verify in our system the relationship between the adult and the child.
Policy on Inappropriate Behavior
Camp Volcano wants to create an environment that is safe and fun for your children. To insure this, we encourage and expect kind, respectful and considerate behavior by the children attending our camp programs, as well as our staff members.
Our behavioral policy has zero tolerance for inappropriate behavior such as hitting, biting, scratching, bullying and disrespectful/disruptive behavior towards fellow campers and staff. Such behavior will not be tolerated. In the even that a camper displays such behavior, the parent/guardian will be contacted immediately for follow up and or pick up. Depending on the severity of the behavior, the camper may be asked to leave, or expelled from camp without reimbursement.
Breakfast and Lunch are available to purchase through our host facility. Orders are required. Payment will be taken at the time of order. Snacks are provided free of charge every 2-3 hours.

Minimum Camper Requirements: Must be potty trained and starting Kindergarten or higher.
Camp Volcano will offer secured experiences where all children will be within sight or sound of the youth activities counselors at all times. Base activities and premium experiences will surprise and delight our campers at Camp Volcano by encouraging and promoting physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and cultural development.
All children participating in our camps must have a completed camp registration form on file with Camp Volcano.

The primary cell phone number for the child's family will be used as the point of contact between Camp Volcano and the child's family.
All activities and field trips are covered in the enrollment price. There will be a one time registration fee of $25. The registration fee will cover registration processing, a Camp Volcano t-shirt and Camp Volcano drawstring backpack. Campers must wear their Camp Volcano t-shirt on the first day of camp and for every field trip. Additional t-shirts will be available for $10 each.
If necessary, early drop off/late pick up passes will be available for an additional $25 fee.
Cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to any booked camp week. Full price will be charged or forfeited if camper cancels within 24 hours or "no shows" for the week of camp.
Children are encouraged to leave all personal items, including toys, gaming equipment and media devices at home or with families while participating in camp activities. Camp Volcano will not be liable for lost, stolen or damaged personal items brought into camp.
Child Safety, Security & Medical
Upon directive from the safety and security manager, the camp managers will oversee a safe and efficient transition of the children from Camp Volcano to a prearranged safety point.
An emergency message will be sent via phone to all parents/guardians of children in care of Camp Volcano, advising them of the transition to the safety point. All will then be advised to retrieve/check out the children at the set safety point location.
All Camp Volcano counselors are trained on basic first aid techniques including CPR and AED. The nearest emergency center is Spring Valley Hospital, located at 5400 S. Rainbow Blvd. Camp counselors will not hesitate to to call 9-1-1 if a true emergency arises.
Camp Volcano will not provide medications to campers.
For safety reasons, medications allowed into camp are:
1. Prescribed Asthma Inhalers
2. Epinephrine (EpiPen)
A parent or legal guardian of a minor with an allergy requiring the use of an EpiPen must complete an EpiPen medication authorization form. This form, when signed by a parent or legal guardian gives permission to Camp Volcano counselors to administer an EpiPen to that minor if a severe allergic reaction occurs. Only trained counselors have access and authority to administer medication.
Children who participate in camp activities must be generally healthy and free from infections and communicable disease. Children who exhibit the following symptom(s) or symptoms of any other infectious for communicable disease may not participate in camp activities.
If children are already participating in camp activities and begin to display the following symptoms, they will be isolated from the other children. The parent or legal guardian will be immediately contacted for child pick up.
1. Fever over 100 degrees or greater, under arm, with forehead fever strip, accompanied with a sore throat.
2. Unexplained rash, redness or swelling
3. Vomiting or diarrhea
4. Ear ache
5. Irritability or confusion
6. Severe coughing child gets blue in the face or make high-pitched whooping sounds after coughing.
7. Eye discharge - thick mucus or puss draining from eye (pink eye).
8. Yellowish skin or eyes.
9. Head Lice - Child must be nit free before readmittance into Camp Volcano.
The parent or legal guardian must sign a medical release form verifying that the child, or children, have been symptom-free from the above list for the past 48 hours.
Children With Disabilities
While children with disabilities (ages 5-12) participating in camp activities at Camp Volcano cannot receive one on one care with a counselor, We will work with each family to accommodate the child to the best of our ability. Children outside of this age range will not be permitted to participate in camp activities.
Camp Volcano does carry liability insurance. We will, however, require liability waivers, permission slips and insurance cards to be signed and in our files before a child can participate in our camps.
Photography Release Forms
In an attempt to better market Camp Volcano, we will be taking photos during our events to publish to our website and/or printed promotions. If the parent or legal guardian is comfortable with photos being taken of their children during camp activities, they may sign a Photo Release Form. Photos will only be taken during camp activities, in a public setting. Children will not be featured in any photos for print or internet usage without the parent or legal guardian's consent.
